2025 - 2026 Season

 â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹Sunday March 29, 2026 3pm  “Gems from the 20th Century”

Join us as we explore what music sounded like as the 19th century turned to the 20th. We open by contrasting the innocent charm of Saint-Saëns’ Tarantelle with the mordant wit and modernist snap of Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du soldat. After Hugo Wolf’s frolicsome, sun-on-terracotta Italian Serenade, we finish with a tempestuous quartet by Teresa Carreño, the larger-than-life Venezuelan known as the "Valkyrie of the Piano"!

LCM members Theresa Norris, flute; Chris Cullen, clarinet; Janey Choi, violin; Daryl Goldberg, cello; and Beth Robin, piano will be joined by guest artists Sasha Margolis, violin, and Junah Chung, viola. This program is made possible in part by a grant administered by the Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

Admission is *free* for all concerts, with a suggested donation of $25 for adults.
